Around the world, millions of children live in desperate need of the very things they should be able to take for granted - food, medicine, safe drinking water, an education. Plan works in over 40 of the world's poorest countries to change this. Established in 1937, and working without religious or political affiliations, we help children and their communities to plan practical ways to
improve their lives. Together we drill wells, train health workers, build schools, and help families support themselves.
The goal is to leave each community after 10 - 15 years - able to support themselves, continue their own development, and give their children the chance of a better future.
